Answer five questions and you get an indicative range straight away —
no form, no download, no follow-up sequence. Your answers stay in your browser
unless you choose to send them.
Why this is free and ungated
Most agencies put a cost calculator behind an email form. We think that is the wrong trade: you give up your details before you know whether the answer is useful, and we get a lead who resents us slightly. So the number appears immediately, and your answers stay in your browser.
If you want a real figure rather than a band, that is a conversation — also free, and it produces a written fixed price with a delivery date inside 24 hours.
What actually moves the number
Factor
Effect
Why
Number of user types
Large
Each role adds screens, permissions and testing — often the biggest single driver
Real-time features
Large
Live tracking or chat needs different infrastructure, not just more screens
Payments
Medium to large
Proration, refunds, failed payments and tax are all separate work
Offline support
Medium
Local storage plus sync plus conflict handling is effectively a second data layer
Extra platforms
Medium
Cross-platform shares most code; two native builds roughly double mobile effort
Designs already done
Reduces
Approved designs remove the whole design phase
Integrations
Varies
Each third-party system carries its own error handling and edge cases
How to use this when comparing quotes
The band is most useful as a sanity check. A quote far below it usually means the scope was misunderstood and change orders are coming. A quote far above it is not necessarily wrong — but you are entitled to ask what it includes that others do not.
Confirm each quote covers the same things: design, backend, QA, store submission, handover.
Ask whether the price is fixed or an estimate that can move.
Ask what happens if it takes longer than expected — the answer tells you who carries the risk.
Ask when you receive the source code, and get it in writing.
Our full breakdown of regional rates and hidden cost drivers is in the app development cost guide — also ungated.
Smaller ways to start
You do not have to commit to a whole build.
Most people arrive somewhere between “just curious” and “ready to sign”.
These are the smaller, fixed-fee ways in — each one useful on its own, and each one credited or extended
into a bigger project only if you decide you want that.
Code & architecture audit
You have a codebase — inherited, stalled, or just worrying — and want an honest read before committing to anything.
Written report on architecture, security, data model and deployment
A prioritised list separating genuinely urgent from merely untidy
A straight answer on repair versus rebuild, even when rebuild pays us more
The report is yours whether or not you continue with us
Not sure which fits? Describe the problem and we will tell you
— including when the answer is that you do not need us yet.
The Qalmax Promise
Six things we put in writing.
Not values on a wall — contract terms. Ask any other supplier to match them line by line.
A price in 24 hours
Send a brief, get a fixed written price and a delivery date the next working day. Free, no obligation, and the scope document is yours to keep even if you go elsewhere.
The price does not move
Fixed, not an estimate. If scope changes we re-quote in writing and you approve before we build it. You will never open a surprise invoice.
Half on delivery
50% to start, 50% when it is live and you are satisfied. You never fund the whole project up front.
Unlimited design revisions
We do not write production code until you approve the screens. Changing your mind at that stage costs nothing.
You own everything
Full source code, design files and credentials on delivery. No licence, no platform fee, nothing that stops another developer taking over.
30 days of fixes included
Free bug fixing for a month after launch, then an optional retainer only if you want one.
A paragraph is enough to start. You get a scoping conversation and a
fixed written price with a delivery date within 24 hours —
free, and yours to keep whether or not you go ahead with us.
