Healthcare software built around consent, records, and audit trails.

Clinic systems, patient portals, telemedicine, and pharmacy platforms — designed for the realities of appointment no-shows, insurance claims, and regulators who ask who accessed which record.

Healthcare software fails in predictable ways: a booking system that does not model a doctor's real availability, a records system nobody can audit, or a patient app that assumes everyone has a smartphone and a stable connection. The clinical part is rarely the hard part.

We have shipped patient booking portals that replaced spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups, including a UAE clinic network whose bookings rose 60% after launch and whose no-shows fell 35%. The gains came from reminders and self-service rescheduling — unglamorous features that change behaviour.

What we build for healthcare

Patient portals

Self-service booking, rescheduling, reminders, records access, and payment — reducing the phone traffic that consumes reception time.

Clinic and hospital management

Appointments, doctor rosters, consultation notes, billing, and inventory in one system with role-based access.

Telemedicine platforms

Video consultation with waiting rooms, consent capture, prescription issue, and follow-up scheduling.

Pharmacy and medicine delivery

Prescription upload and verification, stock and expiry tracking, delivery dispatch, and controlled-substance handling.

Lab and diagnostics

Test ordering, sample tracking, result delivery to patients and referring doctors, and integration with lab analysers.

Practice mobile apps

Patient-facing apps for booking, reminders, results, and secure messaging with the clinic.

Compliance and data handling

We build to the requirements of the jurisdiction you operate in, and we are precise about what that means. Qalmax builds systems with the technical controls compliance frameworks require — we are not a certification body, and we say so plainly:

  • Access control and audit trails — every record view and change logged with user, timestamp, and reason where required.
  • Encryption at rest and in transit, with key management separated from application code.
  • Data residency — hosting in the region your regulator requires, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and on-premise deployment.
  • Consent capture recorded as data with versioning, so you can show what a patient agreed to and when.
  • Role-based views so reception, clinicians, and billing each see only what their role needs.
  • Retention and deletion policies implemented in the system rather than left to manual process.
  • HIPAA and GDPR technical controls where they apply; your legal and policy compliance remains yours to certify.

Integrations that matter

IntegrationWhy it matters
HL7 / FHIRExchanging records with hospital systems and national health platforms
Payment gatewaysConsultation fees, deposits, and co-payments taken at booking to cut no-shows
Insurance and claimsEligibility checks and claim submission where the local scheme supports it
SMS and WhatsAppReminders where email is ignored — the single biggest lever on no-show rates
Lab analysersAutomatic result capture instead of manual transcription
Accounting softwareRevenue reconciliation without a monthly export ritual

Where the measurable gains come from

+60%Booking increase on a clinic portal launch
-35%Reduction in no-shows after reminders
4Spreadsheets replaced by one system
100%Code ownership on delivery

These figures come from Madinah Clinics, a UAE client whose portal replaced four spreadsheets and a WhatsApp group. Your numbers will differ — what transfers is the mechanism: self-service booking, automated reminders, and one source of truth.

Questions, answered.

Is your healthcare software HIPAA compliant?
We build the technical controls HIPAA requires — access control, audit logging, encryption at rest and in transit, session management, and data retention. Compliance itself is organisational as well as technical: it covers your policies, staff training, and business associate agreements. We provide the software side and documentation of what we implemented; certification is yours to complete.
Where will patient data be stored?
Wherever your regulator requires. We deploy to UAE, Saudi, Australian, European, or US regions, and we can deploy entirely on-premise for organisations that cannot use public cloud. Data residency is decided before architecture, not retrofitted.
Can it integrate with our existing hospital system?
Usually. We work with HL7 and FHIR where the other system supports them, and with direct database or API integration where it does not. Where a system offers no integration path at all — which still happens — we build a structured import from its export files so data at least flows automatically.
Do you build telemedicine video calling?
Yes, typically on established infrastructure such as Twilio, Agora, or Daily rather than building video from scratch, because call quality and global routing are solved problems. We build the clinical workflow around it: waiting room, consent, notes, prescription, and follow-up.
How do you reduce no-shows?
Automated reminders over the channel patients actually read — in most markets that is SMS or WhatsApp rather than email — combined with one-tap rescheduling and, where appropriate, a deposit taken at booking. The clinic portal we built for a UAE client saw no-shows fall 35% with this combination.
Who owns the patient data and the software?
You own both. The software is delivered with full source code, and the data sits in infrastructure under your control. There is no arrangement in which we hold your patient data as a condition of the software working.

Six things we put in writing.

Not values on a wall — contract terms. Ask any other supplier to match them line by line.

A price in 24 hours

Send a brief, get a fixed written price and a delivery date the next working day. Free, no obligation, and the scope document is yours to keep even if you go elsewhere.

The price does not move

Fixed, not an estimate. If scope changes we re-quote in writing and you approve before we build it. You will never open a surprise invoice.

Half on delivery

50% to start, 50% when it is live and you are satisfied. You never fund the whole project up front.

Unlimited design revisions

We do not write production code until you approve the screens. Changing your mind at that stage costs nothing.

You own everything

Full source code, design files and credentials on delivery. No licence, no platform fee, nothing that stops another developer taking over.

30 days of fixes included

Free bug fixing for a month after launch, then an optional retainer only if you want one.

Every one of these is in the agreement before you pay anything. See how we evidence our claims →
